Yasmin Raeis’ Factory Girl Named Among Top 25 Films of the 21st Century
Egyptian star Yasmin Raeis continues to make headlines as her critically acclaimed film Factory Girl has been selected among the “Top 25 Films of the First Quarter of the 21st Century.”
The honor comes from the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) in collaboration with the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) and the Egyptian Film Critics Association, marking the centennial celebrations of FIPRESCI.
A Landmark for Yasmin Raeis
Notably, Raeis is the only actress of her generation to have a film included in this prestigious list. Factory Girl—starring Yasmin Raeis, Hany Adel, and Sawsan Badr, with a screenplay by Wessam Soliman and direction by the late Mohamed Khan—remains a milestone in Egyptian cinema.
