The European Union in Egypt has announced the appointment of star Yasmina El Abd as Goodwill Ambassador for the Team Europe Initiative (TEI) for Integrated Water and Food Security in Egypt, a flagship collaboration bringing together the EU, its Member States, and European financial institutions to support Egypt in the key areas of water management and food security
Her appointment highlights the EU’s commitment to engaging youth and artists in promoting environmental awareness and encouraging sustainable practices that protect natural resources and benefit local communities
Currently, El Abd is filming her first leading role in the drama series Midterm and is also completing her feature film debut, Kan Yama Kan
Spanning 30 episodes, Midterm brings together a dynamic ensemble cast including Yasmina El Abd, Youssef Raafat, Jala Hisham, Ziad Zaza, Dunya Wael, and more. Written by Mariam Al-Bagouri and Mohamed Sadek, with screenplay and dialogue developed by Barah Workshop, the series is directed by Mariam Al-Bagouri and produced by United Media Services. It is set to premiere exclusively on the Watch It platform
